Cultural Grant Fundraising

Hanne Stovring

The funds raised in this event helps support artists with ties to Scandinavia via its Cultural Grant Program. The grants are awarded each year.

This year’s cultural award recipient is Hanne Stovring. Hanne belongs to the young generation of painters of Bornholm, Denmark. Hanne is working for SMK – the Danish National Gallery in New York, where she’s responsible of leading and developing AFSMK – American Friends of SMK’, an organization and a friendship scheme which aims to strengthen the ties between SMK and its American friends and audiences.

We have asked Hanne to create something special for our Christmas ball. She will be unveiling her painting inspired by the Annual Scandinavian Christmas Ball 2015. You will have an opportunity to bid on this at our silent auction.
