We are planning an outing at the Cloisters on Saturday, September 28, 2013. We will meet at the New Leaf Restaurant in Fort Tryon Park at 10:30 am where brunch is served at 11:00 am.

The New Leaf Restaurant is located in a charming 1930 stone cottage in the Park. It has been restored by Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York’s parks, gardens and open spaces.

Brunch is $19.95 per person

Following we will take a short walk to the highest elevation in Manhattan, from there to the Heather Garden and then a short distance to the Cloisters. The Cloisters is a fascinating place devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe that dates from the 12th through 15th century. Audio guides are available for $4.95. The suggested admission is $25.00 and $17.00 for seniors.
