Cultural Grant Celebration and closing of “in the wild rush of spring”
We invite you to join us this year as we celebrate four artists with their cultural grants. We will enjoy a performance and hear presentations of their respective works. Followed by a cocktail reception in the Trygve Lie Gallery. This evening will be in conjunction with the closing of our art exhibit “in the wild rush of spring.”
Since 1908, the American Scandinavian Society of NY has been promoting and celebrating the cultural and intellectual ties between the people of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the US. Providing Cultural Grants is one way to support our mission to strive to enhance awareness and appreciation of Scandinavian culture through supporting the arts. Cultural Grants are awarded annually to both performing and non-performing artists of all ages who are actively engaged in creative work focused on exploring, interpreting, and promoting Scandinavian Culture.
